I've been having this strange fondness of breeding and raising games lately, and I would like SEGA to create a game centered around Chao-breeding.

I've heard similar sentiments from users on both Tumblr and DeviantART. I've only played Sonic Adventure a handful of times and never paid much attention to the Chao Garden features of it, though of course I did explore them just to see what they looked like. Would you mind telling me what kind of appeal people find in it?

Well, it's an odd feeling to explain. It covers maternal aspects as well as Pokemon aspects: training them to get stronger, faster, better than the pre-programmed types in the game. Tamagotchi may not have that type of sentiments, but Digimon and Chao have these assets through different ways (Digimon uses the regular fighting aspect, while Chao had used Racing in Sonic Adventure, before introducing the fighting aspect through Chao Karate in Adventure 2).

I've only ever played small fragments of Adventure 2 -- Team Hero if memory serves me right, or does that designation only apply to Heroes? -- and as such, I didn't realize they carried the Chao aspect forth.

Well, the Chao Gardens were sadly only found within the two Adventure games, and a Mini Chao Garden was implemented in Sonic Advance and Sonic Advance 2 (Sonic Advance 3 used Chao to unlock special stages, so there was no elements of breeding there).
The use of Team Heroes is also used in Sonic Riders, the trio name used in Heroes was actually Team Sonic.

I'm so behind the times when it comes to the games that it's a wonder I can call myself a fan at all. Thank you for the information, though.
