I'm a big time fan of Corinne Bailey Rae's music. She is easily my favorite musician of all time. Her lovely voice soothes the soul with airy tunes, bright eyed innocence and a touch of raw evocative lyrics.
One of her most well known songs is "Like a Star" from her first album. It's a great intro piece to her style of music.
One of my favorites by her is this song from her second album, written after an argument with her late husband. Her second album isn't as strong as her first for me but I still love the stronger emotion behind a number of her songs as they deal with her pain when her husband died during recording. It's a haunting album.
